Hey Y'all,
Just registered so thought I'd say Hi. I am the guardian of a Triton caff racer. I have known the bike since 1989 when my dad brought it home to the IOM from London when I was 9. We later moved to the far east and the bike was laid up where it remained from 1994 to 2010 when it was collected by my Dad, who still lives out east, and delivered to me in Gloucestershire. The bike still has the Manx reg. T120 MAN but I can't use that in England so a bit gutted.
It's a 1960 pre-unit T110 with T120 head breathing through Amal Mk2s in a slimline Featherbed which I think came from a 1960 Domi 88. We put 5 speed T140 gears in the T110 box and all the rest is standard Triton fare, 3 gallon bartel tank, rearsets, blah. Have only had a short ride on her last year as she took a little re-commisioning after 16 years in a shed by the sea, but she'll be ready for the summer and I can't wait! I'll post some pictures in the gallery shortly. Anyway, look out for all the daft questions you'd expect from a 32 year old with a 52 year old bike, hope you can help!
Cheers.
