do you think a yamaha xv750 virago would make a good cafe racer. i have never tried to build abike before but would love to give it a go i will need help and advice.

Hi Wayne, you 'can' cafe virtually anything, but the Virago is a bit of a ball-breaker because of the cruiser style frame. Raked head-stock and low-slung seat are the initial issues. I had one, hated it and wound up triking it.


Personally depending on the age I'd look at at punting it on and getting yourself something a little more cafe friendly.

Try putting up some pictures and see what other folk have to say.

what year is the xv ? if its the custom model....... pauls advice is cock on ........if its a se model early 80s ive cash waiting
