My first cafe racer build "Amphitrite"

Hi guys, just starting my first cafe racer build, been building chops and bobbers for many years now and have now decided to have a go at building a cafe racer.

trying to build it on as lower budget as possible, going to be using parts i have in my shed and other bits a can scrounge off people

i shall be using a 1979 Z400 frame i picked up for FREE the other day
(minus the tank and seat)


and i shall be stripping one of my chop projects for the engine and rolling gear


My plan is (if it will fit) is to use a bandit 600 engine, cbr600f3 forks and wheels, a cb400 superdream tank (have one sat in the shed). i'll make the seat unit, wiring lum and link pipe for the exhaust.
I may have to locate a cbr600 swing arm as i'm unsure if the rear wheel will fit in the Z400 one.

i aim to get it built for 17th March for our local Charity Easter ride (Wirral Egg Run)

I may have a spare swinging arm or 2 kicking about i know i have a spare early blade one
& gsf 600 one as i tripped over them earlier today (going very cheap if any use)
your in the right place if you need any advice just ask
