Hello all cafe racer type people, my name is Hugh and I live between Wrexham and Chester in a small sleepy village, I fancied building a cafe style racer in the 90's but it was the street fighter period, so thats what I built along with a few trikes for people, but now I notice a big return in the cafe racer style,,, guess what I'm gonna be doing this next few months.
So I will be asking some questions of people and posting some pics as I go along. Got myself a rough old GPz 750 Kwak as a base to build off and the hack saw, hammer, bag of rusty spanners will out this weekend coming....

Hi Hugh and welcome. The 750 is to my mind a great bike to cafe. It's already got the low-slung stance and once the plastics are off you've got a good basis for a nice bike. Post piccies and good luck with the build. Paul

sweet I may be telling you how to suck eggs if its been standing
for hat length of time you might find the rings have gummed up
if you take the plugs out and pour a little petrol or paraffin or
even some penetrating oil into the bores and leave it to soak a
while this will help to un seat them also do a oil and filter change
before starting.
Hope this helps
Steve
