Embarassed Hi my name is Dave.

I have restored a couple of 2strokes over the last 5 yrs an x7 and a 250lc. I own a GSXR 600 K4.
I am really interested in the cafe racer scene, and would love to sell m 250lc to buy one or to fund a new project.
The problem is where to start, what to buy and what would suit my needs. I'm hoping this site will point me in the right direction.

Regards Dave Question

Welcome to the nut house Dave. Where to start, the world is your oyster. Nice thing about cafe racers, there is no formal requirement for membership and there is no standard size, creed or final product to be measured by, it's whatever meets your budget and floats your boat! You've played with strokers, why not look to some of the classic 2-strokes, Yam RD, Honda NSR, Kwaka F1 (if you can find them) or go the older Jap route like me ('77 CB750) It really is what your pocket and imagination can cope with!

Welcome Paul, Colb66 is in the process of putting together a blinding XJ550, take a look at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to see what he's been up to. You'll find a lot of like-minded souls on here, it's been a bit quiet of late but that seems to be changing, good luck with the build and remember, piccies, piccies, piccies!
