Carburettors are the work of Beelzebub and require more than a touch of the black arts to me. When it comes to fitting them I've got four of the beggars to sort and balance, and they haven't been run for about 25 years! Crying or Very sad

Now, now, Miffa, it's all a question of balance!

Seriously bud, I thought Amals were about as basic as you can get. When I re-built mine on the Bonnie a few years back I couldn't get the feckers to synch, until I realised they were two different carbs! Replaced the odd-man-out, soaked both of them in a bath of thinners for about 3 days to get all the laquer out and they bolted straight up and ran.

I know it's basics and not wanting to tell my grannie how to give head (I think that's the metaphor, isn't it?) have you checked the floats not sticking or anything like that? Again on the Bonnie one of the float needles had a tendancy to stick open, flooding the l/h pot sommat wicked.

OK, so take it the old beasty is not only ruinnning, but running well? Congrats bud.

Spent 1/2 the day with mine, scared witless at taking down an in-line 4, particularly one that hasn't run for in excess of 26 years.

Split the case, so far so good, but other things prevailed so tomorrow I start unbolting rods and mains affraid

Q. Why did the housewife cross the road?
A. More to the point, what was she doing out of the bl**dy kitchen in the first place?

My turn to run and hide!

I had an argument with the wife. It was over nothing really, I wouldn't open the car door for her. And I got out and just swam to the surface.  Embarassed

i was always our dish washer.

then we got a machine.

wifey now insists that everything is washed before it goes into the machine so as not to make it dirty.

i am now the dishwasher again.
