Seriously Miffa, that reminds me sooo much of my Dad's A10, the amount of time I spent as a 17 yo old bouncing up and down on the kick start of that recaltriant old beast, only to have it cough once or twice then die, particularly when I was trying to 'borrow' it for the night to meet up with my mates.

I finally saved up enough to put a deposit down on a CB250, bought on the never-never, oh the joys of electric start! Aftre that it was 30+ years (and another 5 stone) before I had to start fannying around with tickling carbs and jumping up and down again, but I still miss my Bonnie! Very Happy

bsa use a tappered top yolk which limits what i wanted to do with the frontend so may have to either have the spare one ive got machined, slotted with pinch bolts added or try to find a suitable british alternative been told that earlier bsa fork sliders A10 - A7 were shorter so maybe thats the solution

Have you tried unity Equipe www.unityequipe.com they have loads fo bits for cafes.
