Hello all,
I’m new to the site but not to fabrication. I have a project in progress that I plan on sharing in the near future, once it takes a little more shape. I‘ve been lurking around and have already got some of my design questions answered. I look forward to sharing ideas.

What I am working on is an 81 cb900c. I know it’s not a popular bike on this site but I would like to think it’s coming out ok. The next one I have waiting in the wins is a 72 cb750. The 900 I have had for about 6 years and it needed some TLC in the motor so it’s off to the shop to get right. Since I disassembled it I wanted to do something different. The 750 I got for about 3 years ago on a trade and it will need front to back rebuild.

nice looking bike those early cb 900's if its the one i'm thinking of with the long slim tank, i've seen one done in the cafe racer style & it looked good. not into big bikes myself, too heavy, too easy to kill yourself !had um when i was younger, now into small bikes & getting them light , with more modern brakes etc.

i've just realised its not the cb900F i was thinking of, custom bikes dont make for easy converting into cafe racers on account of peanut tanks, long forks, & little fat back wheels/ big skinny front wheels.

Yes I know the down sides to the bike but it’s what I had at the time. I tend to get attached to a vehicles and I don’t sell them they die in some other ways. I decided to do something different. So in the way café’s got started I took what I had and I’m try to make it the best it can be.
