This 1979 Triumph Bonneville T140E is in very good original condition. It is used everyday, has been regularly maintained and serviced.

The frame number begins CA making it a March '79 bike. Both the frame and engine numbers match.

I have owned this bike for the past 12 months after taking it as a PX against my old Harley FLHS, the original plan was to move it on to release the capital tied up in it, however it is such a great machine to ride I decided to keep it for myself. It's now time for it to find a new home as I need the cash for a motorhome.

Recent works and replacement parts include...................

Norman Hyde M style handlebars (original available)
Norman Hyde rear sets (original available)
New Seat (original available but cover is split)
Solid State regulator (replaces Rectifier & Zenner diode)
Fork seals
Rear wheel bearings
Drive chain
Top end gasket set
Carburettor rubber mounts
Rear master cylinder
Rear brake calliper
Steering head bearings

The engine is standard, leak free, starts first kick and runs very well. Being an 'E'  it has the Boyer electronic ignition and Amal MK2 concentric carbs on the parallel port head. The exhausts are straight through reverse cone Mega's, which produce a teriffic, if a little loud, barking note.

The bike has covered just over 31,000 miles from new, it has had 3 owners prior to me, two of which were brothers who lived at the same address and the third was their friend who I got the bike from.
The current MOT runs out at the end of October, however the bike will be sold with a full 12 months MOT

You are very welcome to come and view this bike, and if you have any questions I would be pleased to try and answer them.

This bike is near Weston Super Mare. Ride it home or I have a van and delivery can be arranged at cost.
