I run a triumph bonneville speedmaster, great looking bike
I have just started a build using a 2001 bonneville. Anyone else have experience of a bonneville build?

Photo attached. Some way to go with the strip down, but I've started.
I'm looking to replace the airbox completely and put K&N type airfilters directly on the carbs.
Love the tank on your old bike, where did you get it? and the front alloy mudguard.

A lot of the bits, headlamp, brackets, clip-ons, rear-sets, pipes, silencers, speedo bracket, seat, mudguard, decals and tank all came from Unity Equipe in Todmorden, Lancashire, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] most were standard items, but because my Bonnie was an 'oil in frame' (bloody stupid idea Mr Triumph!) they had to get the tank made by hand, cost me an arm and leg but I was stunned by the finished result! If you click on their gallery my bike is on the first page, eighth down on the right hand side

Thanks very much for the link. Where did you get your air filters? and did you reject the carbs

| I didn't fit the air filters, I had velocity stacks on when I sold it. No, the carbs were standard, Amal concentrics if I remember. | |

| Thanks
The oil coolers came from 'bonneville performance' in Florida,USA
I think they look cool, but had issues getting them and then had a leaking line which took a while to get replaced
I'm happy with them now, but it could have been a lot easier!
