| Hello my name is Robert, i am new to this site and to motorcycles. i have a 150cc scooter now and am looking to upgrade power. I have always loved the look and make of cafe racers, my uncle use to have one so i've always wanted to invest in one while i'm young. I have friends who are into bikes but they all ride sports bikes like ninjas and gixsirs so they don't know much about vintage bike, i have been looking at this one bike that is a 1969 honda cb 350 that was rebuilt. The man who is selling the bike says the new engine has 100 miles but he doesn't know how many the frame has before he spent 5k to rebuilt it. he is selling it for 3500 but i got him to take it down to 3k and says he wont go any lower because its a steal and he says how this bike would sell for 5k in cali, we are here in texas, san antonio an you rarely see any vintage bikes around but is 3k really worth buying this bike as my first motorcycle? | |

| Hi Robert, $3000 seems an awful lot for what looks like a very basic cafe racer conversion. You've probably already bought a bike, but if this is the sort of thing you really fancy take a look at my CB450 on this webpage - car and classic co uk , advert number C401504 I could probably ship my bike from the UK to Texas for $3000 and still be very happy with the price for the bike.....................know any Californians who might fancy it ????????? Must be crazy prices out there. | |
