| quick bodywork mockup to see how colours work. forks will change. will concentrate on motor now. not going too mad, just some spit and polish. am investigating uprated fork springs as theres not much available for this bike. wheels are going to have new rims and spokes now but will paint centres. | |

my fingers are slowly reducing in size with polishing engine cases.

| so just for the sake of posting something...
getting very bored with polishing.
now looking at wrinkle painting the whole engine and just accessorising with shiny bolts.
gonna try a part first to see if i like the results.

| i'm trying to avoid splitting the engine too much if i can help it., but if i need to then so be it.
i've,got some vht engine engine paint to throw on first to see if i like the look.
got an idea in my head of what will be black and what will be left ally, but would rather see it in the frame before committing.
got some seat units to finish first but will hopefully have time to prep and paint today.

| ^^Wot 'e said.
As for being quiet on here, I think this poxy weather has taken it's toll on everyone, my XJR has been finished for 3 weeks now, but I'm not bothering to insure and MOT it until I'm sure I'll get a chance to use it!

| just felt the need to post again. engine is now all painted up and was gonna post a pre xmas pic but will wait till later in the week when its in the frame. was 'spose to be getting rid of an austin 7 from the workshop today but even the owner doesn't want to come out in this weather. does give me more time to either spend with the kids or work on the bike. bike it is then. set myself an end of feb deadline now for on the road seeing as the rims take 4 weeks to do. hope you all have a good xmas. | |

| ended up putting the motor in on my own as wifey considered hoovering the lounge "more important" in her words. in fact, she's had quite a few words lately, namely to do with the amount of money and time spent on my two wheeled transport. i'd like to think its through a concern for my well being but its more to do with the mk1 scirocco track car i'd promised to build her but is taking a very far away back seat. the fact she has to look at half a car out the kitchen window doesn't help. anyway, the paint on the motor is nowt special, especially considering i picked the wettest, coldest day i could to paint it in the shed with rattle cans. this was never meant to be a show bike but i will try to pretty the block up later. just want to get it on the road now but can't go much further until i speak to hagon and central wheels. | |

| lack of funds have stopped me in my tracks a bit lately so a very minor update. the wooden template of my plan finally came back (only 3 months late). rumour has it i'll get the stainless versions soon. should be room for the kick start to be used if the leccy one ever fails. | |

| rear sets are now made from metal... but the wrong material. at least i can get the link rods made to suit while their being recut. most of my evenings seem to be making seat units for other people recently but determined to be riding this by april. | |

| well april came and went, but good news.
promised wheels back for next week.
i've seen the rear one finished with my own eyes so its more than a rumour that progress is being made.

| morning chaps, been a while.
too much work and not enough of me to go around so cant get on here much.
appreciate the faith, Russ but ive seen the quality of some of the stuff that gets down the quay so i think bike of the night is a distant dream for me.
good news though, wheels have finally arrived home.
will post a pic later. | |
