Hiro is a Japanese guy hailing from the Kobe area of Japan, who came over to London to live & get closer to the vintage UK motorcycle scene. He couldn't have chosen a more appropriate place to work than Lewis Leathers on Whitfield Street; the UK's oldest manufacturer of motorcycle clothing www.lewisleathers.com

Hiro bought the Triumph within one month of his arrival in the UK in 2004. It has just completed 250 miles since it's recent refurbishment, including all new valves, piston rings & profesionally re-profiled tappet followers, as well as re-painted tank, new seat etc etc. Check out Hiro's own blog 'Rustless' by Mode By Rockers for a closer look at his cherished Triumph www.modebyrockers.blogspot.com/

The shots in this series have all been taken with my Olympus OM10 on 35mm film (1600ASA). See full set here http://www.flickr.com/photos/gs3vespa/sets/72157627877853095/

I spend a fair bit of time in Japan and can tell you that the Japanese go for the brit style cafe's big time.
The real thing is quite hard to obtain out there due to the incredibly strict import laws, so they settle for converting their home grown products.
The Yamaha SR500 is one of the most popular.
Big twins like the Kawasaki W650 are also very popular cafe conversions.
Some of the bikes they turn out are nothing short of incredible.
