Yep, 125 Honda is an ideal base for a cafe racer. It's tuneable within reason, bits are fairly easy and lots of options. Look here for some inspiration! http://www.google.co.uk/images?rlz=1T4GGLL_en-GB&q=Honda+125+cafe+racer&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&sa=X&ei=b6dwTdKTAcq3hQfimMU-&ved=0CEcQsAQ&biw=1260&bih=585 (sorry for the long link, don't know how to do the 'clicky ' thing!)

That's what the true spirit of Cafe Racers is all about. The birth of Cafe Racers was in post WWII Britain and it was all about getting away from the mundane, sit-up-and-beg British 'workhorse' twins of the 50's and 60's, the bikes your dad rode to work on, and inject some individuality into them.

I'm assuming you're doing this on a budget? So ask on this and any other forums if anyone has got bits they don't want to make your 125 different. Look at the bikes in the link I posted, rear sets, megaphone (reverse cone mega) exhausts, race seats, strip the tank back and if it's not actually alloy, paint it silver! The sky's the limit, only held back by your imagination (and budget).

A friend of mine took this photo of this 125 cafe racer, they're all the rage in Thailand apparently!

It shows that engine capacity isn't everything!
