bigger tyres ??

HI Guys... am just starting to THINK about a tracker , bobber or cafe,, on my Honda cd 250u...but what ad like to know is as ive looked at many on the web an youtube,,is what size of bigger fatter tyres can i get for it without changing the rims... the current tyres ae Fr 300/17 R 325/17 i actualy need a rear kinda quick,, but ad like a fatter tyre if possible,,, what tyres wid fit this bike...

ave saw nice big fat tyres on some of the cafe`s an they look awesome..this will be ma first project.. ma wee honda runs sweet an is in good cond fur its year 1989... its all std an all there... thanks.. any help on the tyres or links tae other nice projects very welcome... cheers.

OK, you need to know the width of your rim then use this calculator to see how big you can go. http://www.ehow.com/how_7479636_size-tires-rim-width.html

Alternatively ask a tyre distributor as they should be able to advise how wide you can go without the risk of the tyre popping off the rim. I would thing 375 - 400 would be about the widest, but I'm no expert.

paulie, ye asked me where I come from.. im in Motherwell, yer name rings a bell wi me.. i used to run xjr`s there was a girl fae Armadale a think Donna was her name.. do ye know her.? am actually gonna start a bobber from a cd250 honda.. an am looking for slightly bigger tyres than i have on it at present which are 300/17, an 325/17dont really want tae start changing wheels ...I thought this forum was really active,, but goin wi some posts,, its a hit an a miss... but thanks fur gettin back to me... cheers
