Hi all , money pit cafe racer just started Cheshire

So on a whim I placed a bid on a 1977 CB550 non runner on e-bay ( e-bay and wine do not mix ) and won it.
It's non standard with mag wheels , straight bars and a humped seat and hadn't been run for 10yrs.

Much swearing later and it's now a runner and I have decided to chop and change a few things starting with a frame modification.

I am looking to tidy up the rear end with a hoop and get rid of the airbox and put the electrics under the seat.

Does anybody know of a shop who do frame mods / welding / powder coating in the Cheshire / Manchester /Lancashire area ??
Going to keep a picture log as I go so I will post updates as I go !!

Oh , on a side £1800 to rebuild the engine and re finish the paint seems a tad expensive to me ????

Hi Andy and welcome. Yeah, I think someone needs to sharpen their pencil if they are going round quoting those sort of numbers! Got to wonder if that included gold-plated fixings and paint by Picasso?
