| hey everyone. the name is Brendan. (aka Denzel) am looking to set up my own business with aluminium fabrication.. i'll be doin alu tanks (oil and petrol), tailpieces, swingarms, subframes, headlight units and somewhere down the line frames like spondon.. just need a bit of help. i'm making up a quick survey for market research and will prob have it posted next week, so if anyone who has a few mins to spare to fill out a quick survey went it's complete i would be very happy.. hoping to be set up before the end of this year.. thanks to all and hope to hear from yey soom.. any comments or ideas will be a great help or leave your own and i'll try to get in contact..  | |

| Hi Denzel and welcome. Alu tanks are in short supply so if you can do a good job at a reasonable price I'm sure you'll be successful. The only two companies I know who do custom tanks in the UK are Unity Equipe in Todmordon and The Tank Shop in Dumfries, both do very good work, both very expensive and the lead times are astronomical for custom work. | |

| Hope all goes well with your new venture. You may also be wise to do some 'stock' pieces for when times are quiet; stuff that'll sell steadily like alloy mudguards, numberboards, any generic stuff that can be made easily. And don't restrict yourself to motorbikes, there's a demand for quality metalcraft in all fields.
