CB450 Cafe Racer for Sale Empty
PostSubject: CB450 Cafe Racer for Sale   CB450 Cafe Racer for Sale EmptyTue Jul 02, 2013 12:51 am

This beauty began life as a 1992 CB450DX-K. It has been completely rebuild from the ground up, powder coated frame and fork legs, standard motor with 2 into 1 megaphone exhaust system which sounds awesome ! I'll be doing a video of the bike running and putting it on YouTube.............I'll add a link in here when I get that done. As you can see from the photos, the bike has a custom race style seat and the tank is from a GB500 / XBR500, Hondas very own big single cafe racer style bike. Everything else is very minimalist, just look at the way the rear lights have been inset just below the seat base, the way the rear sub frame has been re-fabricated to get rid of the standard massive and very ugly, rear shocker mountings on the standard bike. The quality of workmanship has to be seen to be believed. It has custom made rear sets and of course the obligatory clip ons. In general its been done along the lines of the custom cafe racer scene in the States whihc does seem to focus on interesting Japanese base bikes. Its unusual and very eye catching, I get asked questions about it by curious bystanders every time I park up somewhere !

The bike rides pretty much as you'd expect an early 70's Honda to. The brakes look the part but are pretty pathetic compared to modern bikes, you just stick on a classy Davida open face helmet, an old school leather jacket and adjust your riding accordingly. I've enjoyed owning and riding this bike, but I'm having to admit that my old bones and joints just can't cope with the riding position. I've done some pretty long rides on it, but I can barely get out of bed the next day with the aches and pains that result !

I'm looking for £2295 for the bike and I would certainly be happy to investigate shipping to the States or anywhere else for that matter if a potential buyer, would like me to do so.
