Hi new to site and I hope I have found a forum that doesn't think I am nuts, I am 50 years old been out of biking for a few years but getting back into it. I have always loved Café Bikes even when they weren't cool anyway I have a 1979 Suzuki GS550 E barn find that has been sitting 15 years with 8500 miles on it. I am interested in converting it into a Café Racer, I have it in my mind what I want extended swing arm, Clubman bars etc. I am open to suggestions and I will have lots of questions so thanks in advance for your help

Hi and welcome, don't worry, this site has more than it's fair share of nutters so you're in good company. Get some pictures up and ask away as far as questions go. Oh and good luck with the build (BTW, I'm 56 so you ain't the oldest on here by far!)

I'm 63 and about to start my first cafe racer build !
Had bikes when I was young but now semi-retired so have the time to get greasy again !

You are never too old I recon.
