XV750 standard exhaust - SWAP Empty
PostSubject: XV750 standard exhaust - SWAP   XV750 standard exhaust - SWAP EmptyWed Oct 24, 2012 8:22 am

Hi All.
As part of my cafe racer conversion I'm after an aftermarket exhaust system for my 81 XV750H.
Ideally I would like to P/Ex my good standard system for some piggy back drag style pipes (not fish tail), they need to be suitable to pass the UK MoT.
They need to be generally good, I will be painting them black & probably exh/wrap the down pipes.
I live in Shropshire UK.

Cheers

I'll have a look...thought they only did Harley stuff, this is a XV Yamaha.
I don't suppose they'll fancy taking my system as part payment which is the idea behind a swap.
Cheers.

pud probably knows better than me

but if it were mine i would lose the collector box and silencers and run some bends readly available in all sizes and degrees of angle off your down pipes and run a couple of reverse cone megas

as Miffa said Very Happy if you can tig/mig weld buy the the pre-fabbed bends and make you own exhaust the way you like it either in mild or stainless

Thats a pretty good idea, I suppose i'll have more choice that way.
Time to hit the web.....then when i've finished looking at porn I can check out some other types of pipe.
