Enjoyed every minute of the build, although it's never really finished is it... Theres some nice insperational pieces of kit on this site, particularly like what Dan is up to.
The removable manx screen I've fitted, does it go or is it OTT?? need to make a decission, so feedback v welcome.
Thanks Dan, I know what you mean, I don't like a screen myself but I couldn't resist mocking it up, the Norton ext springs were just crying out for a Manx screen. Although it removes very quickly and fits in a back pack easily enough, its that time of year when an evening run (only time a get) means it is either on for half the run or not at all. Will think on it. Cheers.

the problem with any bike over about 350cc is your going to need a fairing, i'd get a rickman 1\2 fairing unless you never go over 70. doesn't look bad though, might look better if it was angled back a bit.

Thanks Mike, I fitted the screen for looks not functionality, and the angle of the screen is more upright than you would find with more modern designs (late 60's>) however the body is sloped back as much as feasible, allowing for covering the headlamp and quick release. I have a 3/4 Avon type race fairing that may go on, then again I have a 72 Bonnie headlamp that may find its way on. Appreciate the feedback... Dave.

i think it looks good as is but wonder what it would be like if you lost the screen and just keep the nose cone in place,i see what mike says about its angle and also some kind of period bikini fairing wouldnt look out of place either
but to be honest if it were mine just the headlight, is your bonnie one with the ampmeter ontop that would look cool as

Wise words, I hadn't thought about removing the screen, but as it was supposed to give a nod to the 50's - 60's look, for me it's all or nothing. Went out on the Wednesday evening run last night and had similar comments, so it's a bit of a Marmite issue.
Sod it, Bonnie headlamp (without ampmeter) it is.
Need to sort a bit of smoking from No3. pot as well, so as I say, "she's finished, or is she"!!
