Hi, having spent a while doing up an old Enfield I have realised I enjoy the project work slightly more than the riding, which got me thinking of projects to do. Started sniffing round the web, found this place and am now considering making a CX500 cafe racer - ( have pored thru' the IED thread already!).

I'll let you know when I have a project bike, but need to make some space first!

Anybody want an Indian Enfield Bullet 500!?! I can throw in a Suffolk Colt lawn mower ( might go faster actually!)

i think cx 500's are an excellent bike to cafe, loads of mass can be removed, tank is a brilliant shape. you would have to be pretty ruthless about mass removal because there is alot of crap on those bikes.
