| Had a weekend in Florence a few years back and loved the Italian life style, think the politics in any country is bollox as for cafe racer building how come you cant get it on the road ? why not go for a Ducati and modify it.
I have a Ducati 888 and love it, would be a dream come true to ride her in the Italian mountains | |

| the problems are that any vehicle car or bike which does NOT have manufacturers omologatio number can never obtain a number plate, worse than that, old classic bikes which the owner took off the number plate and returned it to the motor authorities can not re register that bike unless he is a member of classic vehicle club, and even then the cost is most times higher than it would cost to buy one with plates, any modifications are not accepted!!! and have big big fines if caught!! in Italy there are huge barns full of classic bikes!! they wont sell because thay are waiting for the day when the laws are changed in line with europe and make a fortune. some private sellers in Italy are selling to UK and Urope at very good prices, thats how things are mate. | |
