new ht leads cx 500

hona cx500 (1979) hi all sum advice plz can i change just the ht lead or have i got to buy the full unit with the coil pack the leads are like two sticks

You don't need to change the coils unless the leads are integral i.e. fixed into the coil pack. (Don't know the CX so can't answer that bit) But even so you should be able to by HT wiring by length, try your local motor factors, Unipart are good for that sort of thing. Alternatively try David Silver Spares, http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk or CMS in the Netherlands http://www.cmsnl.com/ both are good for Honda spares
