New boy here!!!!

Hi all,

Been lurking for a while, now joined, seems a good informative forum.

Just bought myself a CB500T and inspired by Stibby's CB500 Wink

Just started stripping here down ready for the rebuild, bought some bits like bars etc and am going down the route of using the 1960's Honda red colours with a splash of green like the RC166. Will post up some pics soon.

Having difficulty seeing or finding good suppliers of Cafe type parts!! any ideas for good suppliers.

Firstkly welcome, the site acn be a bit quiet, seems soem people finish their projects then drop off teh edge so new posters are always welcome.

As for finding cafe bits it's quite odd, back when I started with bikes (1975) almost every bike shop sold bolt-ons, I presume a throwback from the 50's and 60's when cafe racers were in their hayday. There are still a few custom companies about, Unity Equippe in Todmorden for one, but the majority of my hardware has come off E-bay, and the Americans have embraced cafe culture big style, take a look at Steve 'Carpy' Carpenters site [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] just remember anything you import for the States will cost extra due to HMCE wanting their additional pound of flesh!
