Hello new guy with plan ??

I know you've heard it all before, but i have just started my first cafe racer, it may not be every ones cup of tea but it is a honda vt500ed
I love the v engine.

Firstly welcome, hope you find help, advice and companionship on here, we are all pretty much like minded folk with the common interest of cafe racers so you'll fit in.!

As for the VT, nowt wrong with that, Buell have taken their V engine and made some stonking looking cafe reps as a part of their standard offering. Google VT images and you'll be amazed how many have clip-ons etc!

yes it is a bit quiet, but i think every one is busy in the workshop or garage, i have just come in my self.

hi as already said welcome nowt wrong with the VT unlike some styles there are no rules hear you build what u like in the style of the cafe racer Im doing an XJ600 (when I get new insperation)so go with the image in your head and keep us all posted

That is a beautiful bike. But the VT tends to lend itself more to a flat tracker but i am having problems with the rear of the frame. dont know whether to drop the shocks or raise the seat ???.
