new project

This is my XBR500 project, I bought it from a guy in Northumberland, it was his pride and joy, totally original and imaculate, now about 10kgs lighter, stainless pipes, dominator cans and an open carb. Nearly ready for a respray!

Nice looking XBR there.
I built & raced a XBR a few years ago & it was a brilliant & much underated bike in my opinion. I fitted a 600 barrel & piston, XL600 headers, Newman cam I think it was & ported the head a bittie aswell as polishing the carb throat etc & it went really well with that little lot on.
XJ600 tank & G50 seat unit. Dumped the electric start & battery saving a bit more weight.

that's nice, i had toyed with G60 headlamp, but i'm going to keep it to things i can do with minimal cost. like the wheels painted!

it's alot of fun and goes so well at legal (ish) speeds, i no longer need to hit 120mph to feel like i'm having fun? 80 on a Cornish B road is excellent!

Cafe Racers are the way forward!
