PostSubject: 77 RD400 TZ ISH CAFE RACER   Fri Mar 22, 2013 6:01 am

thought id share with you my latest project ive just completed..
its a 77 rd400 Yamaha that ive made into a tz sort of replica..
bike started out as a non running very rough rd400...
I took bike apart and the frame I ground off every visible lug and bracket I knew I would not need..
I cut off the rear subframe and fabricated a new one to include an undertray which I attached a custom made battery box and to store all the electrics I was going to use and fit a Maxton tz350 Yamaha seat unit..

I also monoshocked the frame and then fitted tzr125 4dl front wheel, disc, caliper, forks and yolks (triple trees)..ground off the ignition switch mount as I was fitting this under the tank..

rear end is an rd250lc swinging arm I modified to take a tzr 125 4dl wheel and disc and caliper..

tank is a meadspeed tz350 replica..
rear sets were fitted and brackets made up to fit a master cylinder.. I remade the wiring loom...
engine had a complete rebuild and been ported...new dg pipes..
bike now sounds and runs great..

ive also just built a t500 Suzuki titan
