Been awhile since i have done anything with the bike since i started getting problems with my hands last spring.. started loosing the feeling in my fingers Sad so i had to go the docter and i had severe carpel tunnel in both my wrists. So i have gone to some operations and havent been able to work on the bike until now Razz But now i have taken the engine apart and fixed it up, polished and painted it before reassemble. Here are a couple pics of it almost done

the gas cap wasnt to hard.. bought a dented r6 tank of ebay for about 50 dollars and cut out the part where the filler cap is located and welded it into the cb tank. Very Happy

got some work done this weekend aswell Very Happy its starting to look like a bike again

1976 Cb750F1 cafe IMG_1673
finally got the engine back in the frame!

1976 Cb750F1 cafe IMG_1680
started some test assembly

1976 Cb750F1 cafe IMG_1683
The headlight will be lowered and moved closer to the bike for a tighter look

1976 Cb750F1 cafe IMG_1685
just had to try the wheels on to see how it will look like

1976 Cb750F1 cafe IMG_1687
Im gonna change the color of the calipers to black instead as i feel that the bronze on them crash abit with the rest

1976 Cb750F1 cafe IMG_1692
some more shots of it

1976 Cb750F1 cafe IMG_1694
and some more... cant wait until spring to try it out

1976 Cb750F1 cafe IMG_1699

Well done!
it's a Work of art.! I would really like to see the end result with exaust and everything on it.

Where did you get the seat from? Or did you make it your self?
What Tool did you use to make the dents in the tank! Just a good old hammer? Smile

Doubt you're going to get an answer guys, the OP started this thread in June 2012 and hasn't been on here in 18 months. Shame we never got to see the finished article as it was a beautiful looking build!
