| Here is my 1st ever lacing of a motorcycle wheel. I have laced 100's of bicycle wheels so it was pretty easy. The rims have been freshly powdercoated in gloss black (so gloss they look wet) and the hubs have been polished, the stainless spokes are new. Here is the front wheel. And the rear.. | |

Very nice comment Paulie, Frodo wasn't impressed as he has no nuts

| Stibbs, I'm liking that very, very muchness, cracking build! As a point of interest, where did you get your rearsets? I've got Rasks on mine and with the humungeous backing plate they look hideous, yours are very neat and I really like the turned footpegs and levers. | |

| Thanks Stibbs, they aren't on the website at present, but I've e-mailed the manufacturer and will see what they come back with. Cheers, Paul | |

| Hi Stidds,
I think this project looks brilliant. I was wondering can you tell me where you got your headlight from and what diameter is it? Looks smashing, nice job.
Cheers, Rebecca

| Rebecca
The headlight is a CEV Tipo 105 unit the diameter of the glass part is 105mm and the diameter of the bezel is 130mm.
If you do a search for Lambretta/Vespa (or CEV) headlight then you will find them as that is what they are from. Obviously you need a new speedo but a universal mini speedo will fit as they are the same diameter (65mm) as the hole in the unit itself.

| Super, thanks for that!
Doing a CB as well, but just a baby at 200cc, been looking for a lamp with integrated speedo for a while now, so thanks I'll get searching for one of those.

| I needed a new finish on my gas tank, so I had a go at spraying it in 2k paint and pinstriping it. It took quite a long time preparing it and learning how to paint it, plus once I started the pinstriping realised that I have very shaky hands which really doesn't help things. Anyway after many attempts and many hours finally got it to a stage I am happy with. | |

| That looks the dog's danglies! Just 'cos you've finished her don't go all shy on us and disappear from the forum, us plodders need all the inspiration we can get, particularly now the colder weather is on the way (large whisky and re-runs of Spooks or 3 hours in an unheated garage?..... Hmmmn, let me think) | |

Not going anywhere Paulie, I don't think that a bike is ever really finished so will always need a helping hand or 2. As for the colder weather, you know the intelligent option is the Whisky and Spooks, but when it comes down to it you will be in that cold garage, LOL.

| Have you noticed, with the exception of the guys in the States who post in their own time, the rest of us are a bunch of bloody insomniacs! You, Pud, me all posting after Midnight, what is wrong with us? And no, I don't do shifts or work nights, I got back at 7.30 last night from a 3-day trip round East Anglia and Kent, but still couldn't resist hitting the keys before wandering off to my pit! | |
