| I just can't help it. Having put my GS550 on ebay to test the waters I was impressed with the response, to the extent that I thought I better build some more to sell. So, I picked up a tatty Yamaha XJ650 ...................watch this space! | |

| So the Suzi went OK? That's good, spreading the cafe race culture is great, you should feel a bit of an evangelist, providing a service for people who cannot do it themselves, keep up the crusade bud! | |

| Nope, I still have it. I can't let go until I build something better, then I'll always have something to play on, even if it is 3'C outside. | |

| I know what you mean, I have my eye on another XJR1300, the missus will kill me but letting the last one go was the biggest mistake ever! Now, how do you go about 'cafe'ing; a big retro cruiser, hmmmn? | |

| Remember the XJ project? I know, it seems like ages since I've played in the garage.............anyhoo, I thought I better get back on with it (and the second GS550). Engine has been silvered, and bits polished. I couldn't resist, headstock has to be polished..........oh no, it's starting again, this polishing fetish.........NURSE! fetch me a mop! (Polishing humour reference there) Shortened exhaust bracket castings, but kept them 'cos they're pretty. (See the difference in build quality on a Yamaha, everything on this bike weighs a ton). Their keyboards and pianos are the same. Gonna look something like this, seat is foamier than I would normally have done, but suits the tank height better, and is a wonderfully comfortable place to be! Right, sort out some stickers then? | |

| Can't decide if it looks like a BSA or MotoGuzzi? Seeing what people think, it's on Gumtree! | |

| Cracking job, extremely envious. The way the tank flows into the sidepanels is kinda Triumph Trident'ish to my mind, a lovely looking thing in anyone's eyes. | |
