Thanks for the link Miffa, but mine's an F2 with a 4:1 system. I don't know if the earlier 4:2 exhausts fit, I think the ports are different.

Now that IS pretty, nickel plated frame and what looks like twin Brembos on the front, bet that sound gorgeous. Nearest I've ever come to seeing something like that in the steel was an old boy who lived in Brentwood when I was there in the mid-70's had a beautiful Norvin, featherbed frame, Series C lump, but it was a standard looking bike, not cafe'd like this beastie.

OK, I've got the hammer, now where did I leave that piggy bank?

Talking of E-bay, what's the collective thoughts on this?:

Item number: 110807670257 Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing

It's a digital speedo/tacho and the reason I am considering it is both my clocks are FUBAR due to 20-odd years of sitting in the bottom of a plastic tote box in 4 inches of water! It's 99 quid and apparently works on anything with wheels and a 12V electrical system. At 120mm wide by 60mm tall it's quite discrete and I'm not sure if mounted on a properly made bracket it couldn't look quite smart.

Comments?

No, dumped the idea, mocked the size up out of cardboard and it looks rediculous on my bike! Trawling flea-bay for a new set of clocks, will stick with the original style units, after all it's a traditional looking build I'm after. Thanks for the thoughts anyway guys.

That's nice, unfortunately whilst I won on the lottery last night it was only a tenner, so I won't be bidding Sad

It's nice, but it's a vanilla K2 with a nice seat and ace bars, tad expensive to my mind.

Hi Miffa, what do you reckon is with this sudden rush of old skool cafe's appearing on the Bay? Are people tight for cash or have they just been hibernating and the warm weather has woken them up? Very Happy

That is pretty!

I'm sure I've bored you all with this before, but my Uncle Vic (my Dad's cousin) was Vic Camp, of Vic Camp Motorcycles and the Vic Camp School of Racing at Brands.

He was the first person to import Ducati's to the UK and ran a successful racing school with them in the early '60s until he changed his alliance to Suzuki.

Vic's been dead for over 30 years, but his Suzuki race parts (fairings, exhausts and seats) still turn up from time to time.

Hailwood's 900SS was always my dream bike, see if the Lotto people could just get their act together.............

Agree about the dashboard, very "Flash Gordon'esque!"

Like this a lot

See my old Trumpet is doing the rounds again! I sold this a few years back for 2,450, it's now more than doubled in price (value?)

To be fair, the fairing, seat and rear mudguard are new, but the rest of it is pretty much as it left my oily mitts back in 2003!
