An interesting motorcycle journey by some English folk in the early 1950's. the photo images must have been taken by a Rollei. What scenery. The trip started by air freighter to France. Switzerland and Austria look astonishing. Great detailed records of the bikes, maintenance and mods.

You might note that the Brough Superior was the same type on which Lawrence of Arabia died in Dorchester in the '30s. And the Triumph was so advanced that, 20 years later, the only design changes were the addition of multiple carbs and a sprung rear axle.

So, when do we leave?
