PostSubject: what type of builder are you?   Sun Aug 14, 2011 12:02 am

Hi All thought I would ask the question been thinking about it for a while on my build I am not happy with the seat and I heard my self saying "nobody Else's looks like that" so what I was wondering are you 'a follower of fashion builder, an innovator or just do your own sweet thing. I have decided not to be a sheep and do my own thing

Definately a 'go-your-own-way' type of bloke. I've bought bolt-ons such as the clip ons and light brackets purely because my farication isn't up to scratch, but I've modded and painted the tank and seat and will be making up my own side panels and other bits and bobs as I go along. I have a mind's eye view of what I want and it's not a factory option!

Bit of both to be honest. Welder by trade so frame mods etc I do. The rest I leave in the capable hands of my surgical engineer friend that is MIG. Come to think of it, I leave most of it to my old mate MIG Rolling Eyes

Daz is right, He does leave most of it for me to fix, machine, fabricate, service. Jesus just fetch your washing round and i will get our peg to sort it for you.

He gets the odd bottle of red diesel off me now and again by way of compensation. Did see him hanging the washing out the other day though. Only to leave it there when it started raining. Shocked

talk alot about buying bolt on bits, but always end up making my own.

partly because i build what i like and not after scene points, but mainly 'cause i'm tight.
