| Hello all.
Thought i'd join there because im soon to be creating a cafe racer.
Tomorrow my new bike shall be arriving on my drive and i'll be whipping bits straight off it and changing it to a cafe racer!
Im from surrey, and im 17, so go easy (first manual bike and all that)
Hopefully this forum isnt full of purists who swear by nothing but featherbed frames, but it doesnt seem to be, so alls good.
I'll be converting a 100cc two stroke (because its all i can afford) and commuting to college on it.
I'll document it on here when i get on the case
But anyway, seems a nice forum, hi there!
Jono. | |

| Hi there Jono, Good to have you onboard. Only joined a few days ago myself, seems very quiet on here but will hopefully pick up, maybe people are too busy building to be posting. Fair play to you for going down the Cafe route at your age, I'm 33 and only building my first bike now, and really love the look of a skinny 100cc Cafe but unfortunately my amble girth puts paid to that idea Looking forward to the build thread, get the pics posted. Anyway as said, good to have you onboard, Laters, Rob | |

| Hi Jono and welcome, I agree with Rob, no rules and no purists on here, most of us can't afford featherbed frames and T120 motors these days anyway! It's individuality and style. Google cafe racers and see what's out there to give you a bit of inspiration, and if you have questions ask away! | |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Made that last night, screwed it together today, and filled it with foam. Waiting for it to set overnight then im shaping it properly tomorrow. Then comes the filler, painting and trimming. Hope you approve!

| Yeah that rear loop is coming off as soon as it can.
Plans are to sort the cafe seat, get it in primer and trim it.
Cut the rear loop off and relocate rear light and indicators.
Rub down and prime tank.
Ride it till i can decide on a colour!
Oh, and fit drop bars, some of which i have on the watch list on ebay.
